WHY HANDBALL

Why Handball?

Handball is an Olympic sport but a niche one in Hong Kong — making it a blue ocean for children’s athletic development. The program is co-designed by the HK national team captain and a licensed physiotherapist, combining footwork, passing, and physical engagement to build a comprehensive athletic foundation while discovering each child’s interest and potential.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

FREQUENTLY ASKED

The most common questions parents ask before signing up.

My child has never played handball — is the class suitable?
Absolutely. Most students are new to handball. The Age 3-5 group starts from zero with soft balls and simplified rules; the Age 6-8 group teaches standard passing and dribbling; the Age 8-10 group focuses on tactics and positional roles. Coaches will recommend the best group after the trial.
How is each session structured?
Each 60-minute session: 10-min physio-designed warm-up + 30-min skills training + 15-min scrimmage + 5-min cool-down.
What equipment do students need to bring?
For the trial, just sportswear and athletic shoes. After enrollment, students receive a Kidult Handball Academy uniform. Handballs and training equipment are provided by the venue.
How are absences and make-up classes handled?
Each package includes 2 make-up class credits. Notify us via WhatsApp at least 48 hours before the class. Make-ups must be completed within the package validity. Classes canceled by coaches/venue, or during T8 Typhoon or Black Rainstorm Warning, are 100% made up.
Can parents observe class?
Parents are welcome to observe during the trial lesson. For regular classes, we recommend parents wait outside to avoid distracting students. Parent open days are held monthly — WhatsApp us for details.
Can my child take both handball and basketball?
Yes — we actually recommend it. Handball builds upper-body strength and movement awareness, while basketball focuses on lower-body and spatial judgment — the two complement each other.
